Those use a large plastic box which contains the flasher relay. The 67 is much more complicated. I would start by pulling the cover off that box and cleaning the contacts with a clean sheet of paper drawn between them as they're squeezed together. Look carefully, there is more than one set of contacts. The L/R discrepancy sounds like either a wire pulled off the flasher switch, or a bad contact in the switch.
