> Sounds like you have your engine out ,use a flywheel
lock to hold the flywheel,36mm socket breaker bar and
4-5 feet pipe over bar, a good friend to hold the
engine down, put tension on the pipe, then a sharp
pull, it should come loose(rember righty tighty, lefty
loosey.). To check generator use volt meter with
engine running at 12-1400 RPM checking B+ (put red to
B+) black to ground somewhere on engine, should read 
about 14 volts. GOOD LUCK.
