Having just got tons of oil, sludge, and most of all, rust off of it, it could do with a lick of paint on the top part. Would Hammerite be a good choice? How does it stand up to heat? Best regards, Daniel Baum The best thing to do is have it powder coated black. This will cost about $75 including sand blasting. Be careful with the inside of the air cleaner where it goes together. That part is sensitive regarding the filter part itself. But it sure makes a terrific looking air cleaner for a Type 34, when powder coated black. I also had the engine cover powder coated black, the more nicer.
