okay then, it's really a good thing i came in and emailed ya'll first. i was about 5min away from the prying thing. so are there any other surprises that i need to watch out for when i split the case? btw: if the case halves don't readily split, do you suggest a wood block and a mallet? oh, and another thing. the front half of the fan duct that's attached right in front of the oil pump access plate--i took out all the bolts when i was disassembling but the thing wouldn't come off. there were two spots on either side that looked like the bolts had broken off. so, being the machinest i'd like to be, i drilled them and hit them with the bolt extractor. then, the thing just fell off!! lo and behold, they weren't bolts...they were friggin' dowel pins!!! so now that i've hollowed these babies out, can i get away with not having them on there or do i need to machine out a new dowel to go in it's place? i feel like i've made a bad booboo. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
