your starter solenoid is wired wrong. There should be a wire coming off of terminal 50 on your starter to the FI wiring harness. This allows the pump to operate when the starter is turning. Otherwise the pump will turn off when you turn the switch to start (it only runs for 1.5 seconds when you turn the switch to "run".
