As this is not a virus mailing list, postings regarding viruses are completely off-topic (as described in the list welcome message). Please do not post virus warnings here. I can highly recommend the BUGTRAQ mailing lists for the most up-to-date virus and security warnings. To make matters worse in this case, a very quick Web search showed that this "uncurable" virus is a complete hoax; see, for example: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/upgrade.internet.2.hoax.html In fact, it could be said that the warning message itself is the virus -- it looks like it's getting "sent to everybody in your address book" and is propagating like wildfire. The author of the bogus warning message has preyed upon the good will of lots of well-meaning folks, tricking them into sending the fake warning along, replicating the warning message again and again, spreading, multiplying... On one or two occasions a virus has actually made it through the filters and been posted to the list. In that kind of circumstance, the issue does become an appropriate administrative topic on the list.
