after doing the usual carbbie adjust and driving for a couple weeks, i pulled the plugs to find them still too dark. rechecked the timing, the valves, set the points again and did a leak down...everything was fine. this had me puzzled as i don't like to loose to carbs! finally, i changed the original black coil out for a spare blue I had. wahlaa!!!! then i had to readjust the carbs again. it seems the spark was just strong enough to run the 4 cylinders, but weak enough to not burn all the fuel. -- Brian--\x/64 Notch & 67 Fastback http://www.geocities.com/menacefye/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- Too much?
