I suggest that it really didn't solve anything. Your experience is not 
unique, however. Everyone tries this some time or another and 
eventually comes back to the same conclusion.

So that's okay.

If these are genuine Bosch the black ones are the originals from 68-
9; the yellow ones superceeded them. I don't like to see them 
mixed, but I'm surprised that they seemed to measure the same. I 
had been led to believe that the yellow ones ran slightly richer.

If any of them are not OEM Bosch, I would replace them.

Careful here, this can lead to too much advance which is hard on 
the engine.

The size is important. You should check the fuel pressure and set 
it to 30 psi x (D/1600) where D is your new engine displacement 
which you can calculate once you check your rebuild records.

Have you done a compression test? What were the results?
