Take your time, but not too much time. If you wait a couple weeks after disassembling, you might forget how to put it back together (don't ask). Get a Haynes or Clymer manual to help. Also, Everett's site has a good factory pamphlet on final set up and adjustment http://www.thesamba.com/vw/type3/literature/manuals/t3dualcarbtuning/index.htm Make sure you get the correct rebuild kit, don't settle for the 34 PDSIT. Also, if your throttle pivot is loose you'll need machine work (RIMCO in CA is good).
