    To really drive the conversion home here is a memorable trick.  When you
go into a good pub in Oregon (there are many), pay attention to how they
serve your "pint" of beer.
German beers no matter what shape the glass (wheat, pilsner etc.) are 0.5
litres (not too many serve 1.0 litre)
True English pints are big like the Germans: 20 ounces
American pints are 1/5 smaller: 16 fluid ounces
    Now you know why you are getting so drunk of the old world styles!
