The OEM mufflers fit the best and will give the longest service. On 
your 69 you can use either the early (66-71) small pipe version or 
the late (72-3) one; both work well. In either case you will need to 
have a pair of the small rear heat exchangers which these screw 
into. If you now have an aftermarket exhaust, those rear heat 
exchangers have probably been lost, unless you have them in your 
basement.

The OE mufflers work better, fit better, seal better, last longer, are 
quieter, and give more heat. On the other hand they are a real pain 
to install.
