I have a stainless one from a company called Autocavan (in the UK) for my 1600 Type 2. I am sure something similar could be produced for the Type 3, but it is noisier than the standard muffler and might not go so well with the up-market Type 3 so well. It would need the heat insulating top too. The Type 2 upper heat-exchangers are done away with (normally on the muffler), but I reckon our more substantial upper heat exchangers would be missed in cold weather. Dave.
