My 73 had spacers under the cooler, it was the original engine when I pulled it
apart. I cant remember which rubber gaskets I put in, I suspect it was the 10 mm.

I also had to make a special set screw for the cooler, the universal Brazil case i
bought had a M8 thread in the case for the cooler, and the T3 cooler have a M6
hole... Of course, if it was the Beetle angle piece, it could be bored in the right
size. I just purchased a M8 bolt, cut it at the right length, put it in the power
drill, and filed it thin enough to thread it with M6 threads.
