I was at a new (new to me) VW wrecking yard (Pacific West Import on Foster Road here in Portland) a couple days ago, looking for a steering column casing(sp?) (both top and bottom) and the ignition switch for my 63 Notchback, and guess what? They had a 67 Squareback that had everything intact. So I'm in the process of buying it. The guy said $50. Does this sound reasonable? If anyone thinks this is too high, email me direct. TIA Someone on the list was looking for a '67 front fender, and this car had one, I can't remember if it was the L or R. Also, the L rear fender (port side) was perfect. I think I'll buy it µÁš© e an extra, but if anyone needs this or anything else, let me know. The L door was pretty strait, but had a gouge(sp?) in it. Both the engine and transaxel were intact (carbs and linkage were gone). Hood was gone. Front end (clip) was perfect, except the piece that the tank filler goes through, it was bent. I always wonder how much damage happens in the wrecking yard. There was a big dent in the roof. It had some weird roofrack thing on the top, not the kind that clamps to the rain gutter, but the kind that bolts to the roof. I guess it could be cool, but I personally like the other style. Interior was trashed, with gravel everywhere. That's all I can remember.
