I saw this item for sale at eBay and thought that you might be interested. There is no part number on them, but they're in generally good condition. The vents' angle indicate they're made for an earlier squareback, or fastback. Since I don't specialize in Type III's, maybe someone reading this can tell me exactly what they are. Two people I know that do specialize in Type III, told me they were EMPI.p.s. these babies look like they were made to be screwed on over the vents. On 01/08/99 at 21:39:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks to a savvy Volkswagen connoisseur, I now know the truth about these vents. They are factory. Volkswagen put the vents on the Type III on backwards so they didn't scoop air in as efficiently. So, Volkswagen made these covers for more air cooling efficiency. They are not EMPI.
