If it's the transistorised type (all (?) black-faced, but some late grey-faced ones too), you may get it going again with WD40. Remove the back cover, spray a bit on the works, and rock it axially (?) to persuade the pendulum to start swinging again. It worked on mine, but it won't repair a bad winding! I don't think there's much else that you can do, apart from a DIY quartz conversion, which is possible if you don't mind removing some of the works at the back. Stan has summarised the electro-mechanical type repairs, I see. Dave.
