I'll back Jim up on RIMCO any day of the week. I had a case machined by them when I lived in Long Beach. Very nice work, recommended by every VW shop I went into when I lived there. After I moved to Miami, I called Kawell Racing Engines to have some heads opened up (for my 2L FI engine project) and Dave told me to send them to RIMCO - Kawell still does. That's a pretty solid endorsement in my book. It's good to have confidence in someone that you're mailing parts to or from that you won't have to send them back to get re-done or have to find a better source. If I find a good vendor, I'll usually stick with them just for consistency, plus you'll eventually develop a relationship with someone there (even if it's just over the phone) and wind up getting better service in the long y߸ w, did that ever turn into a ramble.
