Sounds like you saw the fresh air blower on a late model Fasty. (Did the early cars have these too?) That blower was standard (i think), but it was not tied into the heat system in anyway. It just pulled fresh air from the cowl vents and blew it through the dash openings. One might be able to use it to blow hot air. It would depend on whether the motor was in the air stream or not. If it is, it might get to hot trying to blow the hot air. If it is isolated from the air, it could be used but would need some creative plumbing to get the heat into and out of it. The heater booster kits from Barney's that are advertised could be used on a Type III/typ3/Type 3/T3 (sorry, couldn't resist). You would just have to modify the installation to suite your car. Be aware that these kits require you to cut holes in the body of your car. Pretty big holes too. Of course, my re-routed heater system will require body modification too, but then mine is going to be DARK.
