Ok James, sorry to mention the weather effects in desert states. It made me think about our weather when I heard about how a lot of US enthusiasts have to put their good (VW) cars away for months to avoid the salt. A new VW friend from Detroit stayed last weekend and asked when we get our first snows. In the south of England, we get some frosty mornings and sometimes snow, but it's not usually more than a couple of inches and only stays for a day or two. The Gulf stream coming up from your southern states sees that we get mild weather much of the time here. Trouble is, it isn't very predictable, so you look forward to doing an outside job at the weekend and it's pouring all the time! I've got to find time/weather for a front caliper job on my Squareback this weekend (and try to solve my wife's Jetta's warm-up problem) so I'm hoping the weather will stay dry at least (Buggy pan taking up the garage space!).
