Theres a outlet on thye fuel rail between the 2 cylinders on the passenger side (90% sure) You hook up a pressure gauge ($25 from your FLAPS) and go to town. Adjustment is about 7 inches in front of you- trace the line to it- bolt with a locknut on it. Should be 28 PSI. For the disti contacts, look at the 3 wires going into the disti. Take out the whole thing (don't change the clamp or your timing will be lost) 2 screws and the FI contact 'platter' slides out. Basicxally, as the disti spins the contacts open and close, telling the computer whats up- take some alcohol or some acetone and polish them up- I would stay away from sandpaper, etc... maybe some steel wool, but only if someone else seconds me on that... Plop her all back in and marvel at your perfectly running FI... I hope- Where are you? I have a FI computer you can plug into in St. pete Florida- -rj > -----Original Message----- > From: Robert Braun [SMTP:vwsquare@yahoo.com] > Sent: Friday, November 13, 1998 11:15 AM > To: type3@vwtype3.org > Subject: Re: [T3] The Virgin > > ---Keith Park wrote: > > Measure the fuel pressure and get back to me, it should be 30 PSI +- > 2 psi > > How??? > > > clean the trigger contacts in the base for the distributer too, this > is > > just a maintenance item.
