Shame though; winter is the time when the air-cooled engine and superb traction comes into its own. Nothing as frustrating as spinning the wheels in the Jetta when you know the Squareback would be pulling strongly. Lucky for me, there are enough nice days over here in winter to want to run it, and when it's frosty, the Fastback warms up inside quickest of all. Then there's the Camper for the mild days. Dave.
