Our car (71 fasty) has the same problem - the undercoating traps the dirt and wetness and really lets the rust go wild. I'm in the process of fixing this now. Is there an easy way to strip off the paint and undercoating from the underside of the rear wheel wells? It's not just an ordinary layer of paint like the outside of the fenders have - it seems that the primer layer is thicker and tougher.
