Richard, Good news...the Variant is alive again. I finished up some last minute work on him this past week and took him for his technical inspection. He passed with flying colors. (I take my own cars to the tech. inspection because I want to see them TESTED and INSPECTED and see if the inspector can find something that I missed. Many times, dip. cars go there and get the stamp without the guys even looking at the cars. I don't like that.) I still didn't get the front brake bleeder valves that I need. I just bled the rear brakes and the front right brake. I thought it best to not try too hard to unscrew the one badly rusted bleeder valve because if I twisted it off, then I would really be in trouble since there are none of that type here. I plan to email Bill and Steve's to see if they any for sale. The size I am looking for have 10m threads. I guess that they were also used in buses. Dave Hall posted the part number of the bleeder. I will use that to track them down. If I find a supply, I'll buy several extra to keep on hand if any of you need some.
