Surprise - No Suprise

the upper torsion bar today. Found the shock on the drivers side had a nut 
missing from the bottom, fixed it, no surprise.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Shook the drivers side wheel and saw a loose tie 
rod end. Replaced the inner and outer, no surprise.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Shook the drivers side and passenger side wheels 
again and saw the rotors had play in them. Adjusted the wheel bearings, no 
surprise.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Read my email and Bentley on tightening the 
upper torsion bar, adjusted it, no surprise.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Decided to adjust the steering box while I had 
the front-end off the ground. While I was adjusting it, I saw a loose ground 
strap that attached to one of the four nuts that holds the top of the steering

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>SURPRISE! I found all &quot;all&quot; four nuts 
loose. And I mean really loose, I could turn all four with my 
fingers.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2></FONT>&nbsp;</DIV>
<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>I had noticed that my steering wheel seemed 
remarkably loose. It was so loose, it felt like it the column wasn't even 
attached to the steering knuckle.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#000000 size=2>Needless to say, my front-end seems like new 
now. I had gotten accustomed to the slack so much that I have to pay close 
attention to how I drive. The slightest movement of the steering wheel actually 
changes the direction the car goes now.</FONT></DIV>
