Um, both is your answer. :)  Meaning: each (rear) wheel has two stars
because each star controls the adjustment for one shoe. 2 shoes per wheel =
2 stars per wheel.  Each star *is* used to adjust each shoe independently.
Both stars do the same thing to their respective shoe. Hope that helps!
