Listees: Well, it is that time of the year again when I swear that I am going to fix the looseness in the front suspension of my '65 Variant. Last year, Jim and others sent some good material about how to tackle the front suspension and replace the torsion arm axial rings and needle roller bearings. Those gems, even though I had the best intentions, went out with my old email program. I also checked the archives with no luck. What I am looking for are some pointers that demystify the T3 front suspension that looks so alien to us who are more familiar with the standard beetle or super beetle front suspensions. Any pearls of wisdom? Thanks, all John Zagreb, Croatia ps -- I was 40 minutes late from buying a 1964 Notchback that was sold for 100 DM (~60 USD). The needed to get rid of the car before the garbage authorities towed it away and charged him. A prospective buyer arrived, they put a battery in it, it started, and the guy drove away after paying his 100 DM. Jeez, I wouldn't have even had the heart to dicker with the guy. I, too, would have paid the 100DM. Oh well.
