I was thinking the injectors, so I pulled them all out and had my wife turn it on and off.... What I'm thinking is that the second the pump runs just isn't wnough for some reason.... Back in the day (2 years ago, when I was young and foolish. I'm old and foolish now) I removed the "Fuel Damper" cause Jim said it was worthless. Is that verdict the same?? Probably wouldn't have an impact.... -rj > -----Original Message----- > From: Greg Merritt [SMTP:gregm@vwtype3.org] > Sent: Monday, July 06, 1998 12:30 PM > To: type3@vwtype3.org > Cc: type3@vwtype3.org > Subject: Re: FI pressure drop > > > I really do think that pressure builds up with the first few > seconds of pump operation. > > Perhaps you've got some leaky injectors, and that extra charge > of > gas that they drip-drip-drip helps it to start? > > -Greg (guessing again;) > '69 & '71 Squarebacks > '63 Beetle
