Yesterday i went to see a '69 squareback (october and so a new bodystyle) for sale. It had 38.000 miles on the clock! The service history untill '84 was documented. At that time the speedo readed 23.000 miles. Turned out the former owner, who had the car for 25 years, never dared to go further from home than 20 miles. The car was always garaged. The interior was perfect and the original tools and jack were all in place. Although it was a beautifull ulmengreen 1600A it had some spots which i wished wouldn't be there. I had hoped for a trouble-free car because the car i already own also has some problems which would take about the same amount of time and money to fix. Better stick to the old '67 then.
