Carl suggested; >John, one possibility comes to mind. If you have the calipers with the >bleeders on the bottom there will be air trapped in the upper part of >the piston. I think the later calipers came with a bleeder top & bottom. >If your calipers have only one bleeder you'll have to pull them loose, >jam something in between the pads and bleed them with the bleeder on >top My calipiers have the bleeders on the top, with only one bleeder. I thought about trying what you suggested, I was going to pull the cailper off the spindle and stick a piece of wood between the pads. I think I'll give it a shot. Dave suggested; >In our case the aluminum tubes that run from the brake fluid reservoir >down to the master cylinder was leaking - more like seeping. Dave I thought about that, my train of thought was that air was seeping past the joints where the solid line meets with the flex hose. I didn't have any hose clamps at these locations. Now I do. I don't recall seeing any caffing or drop in the reservior level, but I'll take a closer look at all the lines you suggested. Thanks for all the suggestion [ keep them coming ]! John Z 69 squareback
