Not a bad idea (bedliner). Mine's still got remnants of the rubber mat, and the carpet that replaced it *was* everywhere (boy, those guys at the U-Fix-It car wash were mad when I jammed their vacuum up). I've got a Mexican blanket covering up the tatters of the original mat at the moment. There was a mat at the San Antonio junkyard that still had the words 'Ab' and 'Zu' on it. Sadly it was just about totally destroyed otherwise. How are you affixing this to the surfaces? I'd love to know, I'm tired of having that hodge-podged. Secondly, I'm missing one of the little 'feet' that protrude from the trailing edge of the engine cover, do they sell those? -----Original Message----- From: El guapo [SMTP:ergodoy@ucdavis.edu] Sent: Tuesday, 8 December 1998 9:07 To: type3@vwtype3.org Subject: [T3] Cargo area lining? Hi again, What all do you squareback owners have in your cargo area? The rubber in mine is long since gone, the carpet that replaced it shredded and left all this crap from the backing EVERYWHERE, messing up my engine compartment. Right now it's bare metal some rust with a coat of spray paint. I was planning on putting some dynamat (its generic equivalent) and then some rubber liner made for pickups. Any better ideas? thanks, eduardo ------------------------------------------------------------------- Search old messages on the Web! Visit http://www.vwtype3.org/list/
