Hey All, Got a quick question (maybe two) I have two '72 Fastbacks (one A/T, one M/T). I was working on the interior of the A/T and I noticed that the front belts in the two cars were different. The newer VIN belongs to the A/T car and it has modern type retractable seatbelts with a pushbutton release on the "female" stem (bolted to the trans hump). The M/T car, on the other hand, does not have true retractable belts, just a small spring-loaded roller midway in the webbing. And to release the belt, there are two small levers behind the heater levers on the trans hump. Is this a normal mid-year change? Does anyone have a set of black, late model retractable belts for sale? The part number from the tag on the RH webbing is: 311 857 706 A I hope you guys know what I'm talking about. - Roby B '72 Fasty A/T '72 Fasty M/T '98 Jetta TDI ------------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe? mailto:type3-request@vwtype3.org, Subject: unsubscribe
