it sounds as if your fuel hoses are leaking. not surprising if they are original, and especially if it is the stock fuel injection as they are under 30psi of pressure. don't drive the car until they are fixed, otherwise you have an excellent chance of going up in flames. make sure the hoses you get are fuel injection hoses, made to withstand the higher pressures. available from rocky mountain motorworks, or any local parts supplier. all the hose needed will cost less than $40 probably. an hour or two to replace it. sonny ------------------------------------------------------------------- List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list or mailto:help@vwtype3.org
