Hmmm, probably my drive-belt was broken or something. So I stopped to check things out, my drive-belt slipped of the crankshaft pulley and got stucked behind it. No way we could get off the drive belt so I decided to drive to nearest parking to replaced the drive belt. It is a lot safer at a parking right besides the Hi-way. After I reached a parking I wanted to open the engine-compartment.. Gues what.. nothing ! The cable attachted to the release lever is broken ! Can't reach the engine anymore. So I drove home a 100 miles and luckely I made it.

Does anybody know how to open my engine-hood with damaging my '72 fastback to much ???

I already checked to following :

- The cable isn't attached to the lever anymore. I think it's slipped into the small iron pipe.

- I tried to reach the lock from underneath to check if I can unbolt the lock. I can't reach any screws..

I hope that somebody can help me..
