autotranny quirks

Hi all,

	a couple of times my '69 auto tranny has been tweaky at startup.
Fluid level appears to be right between the marks.  Here's the scene:

	o start car in neutral; warm up
	o put in "R" to back up; nothing happens (still in neutral)
	o walk the shifter through the gears; no movement
	o turn engine off
	o I get out of the car
	o attempt to push car while in neutral; it's stuck!  Won't budge!
	o put it in "3" & it rolls; push it maybe a couple of inches
	o car is magically fixed.

	Any clues?  On one or two other occasions, it has felt like it was
in gear (idle drop, won't rev up) when in neutral & in gears, and wouldn't
drive.  This *may*, however, have been related to low ATF.  The sequence
above, though, has happened a couple of times & is more regular.
