Okay, I should have re-read Everett's original message before I opened
my mouth.  What you have described sounds exactly like what happened to
Jim's car.  We were able to fix it between rounds by loosening up all of
the trans mounts and removing the nosecone.  Actually, due to the solid
trans mounting, we could only move it forward about an inch and a half.
Jim was able to pop the hockey stick back into position and we were able
to get it back together for the next round.  Even though it may be rare
on an IRS car, I might be tempted to check that out first.
