Evening, folks, Just got finished with the front end re-build on the Notch. New lower ball joints, tie rod ends, new rotors, new inner and outer bearings, re-build the calipers, new brake lines, new shocks, and tomorrow it's off to the tire shop for two new shoes for the front feet and an alignment. No problem at all with the trailing arms or roller bearings, but after ten years at three notches lower than stock, I got tired of torn up tires that rubbed at every hard turn. I took her up one notch on each lower arm and she settled right in. Now the front sits even with the rear torsion bar sag that came with the car. The trailing arms didn't want to come off at first, but after a little thermal persuading (ouch!) and a gear puller in a strategic position, every thing came off in time. Definitely worth while, just time consuming. AAR, does anyone know if they are going to the Bug Jam in Dade City, FL this Sunday? I'm headed out on Saturday, hopefully with the Notch, from the Miami area. Hope to see any listees there. Let me know. David Walters '73 1600 L Notch (a work in progress) S. FL, USA
