The T34 has separate chrome vent window frames (frameless doors) that can be removed. The side mirror is integrated into this chrome vent frame. If an extra driver's vent frame & mirror is exchanged between LHD and RHD owners (like England & USA), then both will get the dual vent frame/mirror arrangement. They simply replace the non-mirror vent frame (passenger side) with the new mirrored frame, and presto, they have dual mirrors that look absolutely stock! The mirrors on T34s are not located in the door sheetmetal like the other T3 models. Variants, Notchbacks, & Fastbacks all have framed door windows, and therefore they would have to swap entire doors with a RHD owner to get the stock dual mirror arrangement. For once, the T34 owners have it easier than the other T3 owners! Hope this makes things clearer ... LEE lthedges@inetworld.net NONA/T34 Registry/VW Trends
