When you put it in gear, does the shifter feel 'normal'? Maybe that bonk was something in one of the axles dying, which would cause the car to not go anywhere due the the differential, but would probably make a lot of ugly noise. Not to alarm, but just to find out if the shifting action seems normal. Jake Kooser
