I build a speaker cabinet that fits the angle of the rear seat in my '71 Sqback. It makes the wedge form a square. I rely on the sound bouncing off the rear window and then forward to the seats. But with 2 6" Bose low end, 2 4" mid-range, and 2 3" tweeters it gets plenty loud. I also have two 4" door speakers but regret cutting the door panels up. In retrospect I think I would have prefered a 6x9 in the front dash and the speaker box in the rear. The amp and crossover are mounted in the speaker box and it is easily removed from the car with a quick disconnect plug for those high crime areas. Plus you can open the rear lid and party in a field quite easily. I also built a center console that goes in front of the shift column and put a Jensen tape deck in and a portable CD connection. Has performed quite well over the last ten years. I sure with todays technology it would be even better. ------------------------------------- Craig Woolston '70 Sqback and '71 Fastback cwoolsto@ladc.lockheed.com
