The sunroof was a body option. I don't know how the rest of the Type 3s were split out but the Type 3 Ghia body options were: 343 - Left hand drive coupe; 344 - right hand drive coupe; 345 - left hand drive coupe w/ electric sunroof; 346 - right hand drive coupe w/ electric sunroof. The second category is M groups which include safety equipment, country specific requirements, and drive train options such as automatic trans. For a complete listing see Greg's page at: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~gregm/T3/features/features.html The third category is accessories. This is the most mysterious of all because nobody I've talked to has ever seen documentation about what was available from the dealers. I guess you could put after market stuff in this same category. This would include such things as radios, package trays, racks, and mud flaps when not purchased as part of an M group. For paint information, one good reference would be a Type 3 parts manual. The Type 3 Ghia manual I have lists all of the paint and interior combinations in a separate section. I understand that Lee Hedges, the leader of the T34 Registry, has started a Type 3 registry (or is it just Notchbacks?). Another source for paint information is the paint chip page on the KGCNA web pages at: http://s2k-ftp.cs.berkeley.edu:8000/personal/rtroy/kgcna/paint_chips.html Here is a hint to finding what you want on this one. These are scanned pages from the original book and take a while to load so see if you can find out the L code for your color from some other source. Then go to the bottom of the web page starting with 'Page 17 back'. The earlier pages are all pre '60 colors. Pages 17 and up were add-ins to the book at various stages. The back of each page says what models the color was correct for and the front has the color chip and the formula for mixing it. Once you have the formula you take those numbers and look at the mixing colors at the beginning to find the ones needed for the mix.
