Jonathan: So it misfires at low revs under acceleration load, but not at idle, right? Just for kicks try shifting sooner in second gear and see if it won't misfire then, too, but: => carbs? Unknown. Still haven't synchronized them. Aha! Replace and adjust points & con, do your timing, sync the carbs and *then* see how it performs. I'll bet your misfiring problem evaporates. Out-of-sync duals can cause a pile of weird power problems. => Air-control stuff? What is that? :) A checklist for those who aren't sure: * Airflow through body intake is unrestricted. * Preheat pipe is installed from #1 heat exchanger to intake mixer box. * Mixer box flap opens and closes easily (the weighted lever). * Air cleaner is clean, tight and filled to the line. * Carb/air-cleaner gaskets are clean and seat well. * Electric chokes are functioning and adjusted properly. => Perhaps an 009 might be called for.
