Sea Blue #1 and #2 (Was: Re: Need NOS T3 parts? (US))

I have a sea blue '64 notch, so how do I determine what color the fender
beading
should be?  From the look of it, my original fender beading looks more like
black the any shade of blue.  Is this merely old age (the car's, not mine) or
did they switch to black early on??
