Brake pedal

I don't know why you haven't been successful getting your adjustment to 
stay, but I want to emphasize that the pedal stop plate should be adjusted 
to give 1mm
free play to the brake master cylinder push rod (or 5-7mm at the brake pedal.)
Adjusting it any differently may get you in a heap of trouble with your brakes.
