Re[2]: engine tins

I believe the case you have is called a universal case. I do not know much
about them except they can be used for T1-T3 cases (short block, not long!).
Both of my engines were (are) of this style. I wouldn't think the dude would
install a T1 engine. My universal has the stock T3 oil filler AND the T1 oil
dipstick (which I don't use).

As for the carb (ahem) setup: I saw this set up many years ago for sale in some
after-market catalog -- thank God I resisted buying it. Dump the setup, reclaim
the lost cargo space and call CB Performance (1-800-274-8337, California) and
get a catalog. They have Dellorto carb kits for the T3 that fit under the stock
deck lid (I'm running with pair of 36mm DRLAs, yee-ow!). For overall
performance (power & mileage) you will want dual carbs and for a stock engine
you want to get 32mm or 34mm -- anything else will be too big an opening to give
the correct air velocity.

Wish I new...

It has the bellows for the air intake. Got it.

Did aliens transplant my engine?
