Hi Emily,

On your window cranks, look between the crank and the interior door
panel (be careful) There should also be a large washer shaped piece
(called a "buffer" to protect the panel), CAREFULLY look for an odd
piece of metal that grabs the crank around the collar. It will have (or
should have) a lip that you can take a FINE-tipped, needle-nosed plier
and grab the tab and pull straight out. If you don't have the
FINE-tipped pliers you can use a small screwdriver, but watch out, it
will FLY. (I've lost a few until I got the pliers).

I've never had to remove the cables, so I can't help you, but I'll look
at mine.

Hope this helps,
Big Al
