If so, I have only done this on a Ghia so the other Type 3s are going to be a little different but it sounds like it uses the same principle. There should be screw holes in the part that attaches to your post. It takes a little tiny Phillips screw that you screw into the 'thingies.' The 'thingies' should also be a very tight fit within the groove in the window frame. For anyone else that may be looking for 'thingies,' I know that House of Ghia will have them.
