Speedometer

     Maybe its not this simple but I have always found strange noises 
     coming from the speedo to be the cable.  It usually dries out and 
     starts making a sort of click/grind noise.  This will make the speedo 
     needle twitch as you ramp up the speed.
        So you might try the cable.
